Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested four males in relation to a shooting incident on Duke of York Blvd., Mississauga.
On Sunday, August 2, 2015, at approximately 9:20 p.m., an anonymous call was received on 911 for shots fired at a high-rise apartment building on Duke of York Blvd, in Mississauga.
On police arrival, a handgun, ammunition and a quantity of drugs were located and seized, along with spent shell casings. An immediate search of the building resulted in the arrest of four males. There were no injuries as a result of the shooting.
At the time of arrest, one of the accused males identified himself as Abdirahman DORE of Brampton. Subsequent investigation revealed that this was not the actual identity of the accused.
The actual identity of the accused is Adnan OMAR, a 28 year-old resident of North York. He has been arrested and charged with Identity Fraud, Obstruct Justice, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Mischief Endangering Life, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of Recognizance.

Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have information about this matter, to call them at (905) 453-2121, Ext. 1233. Information leading to the identification of any of the suspects may qualify for a cash reward.
