On Thursday, December 13th, 2012 in the late morning hours, investigators with the Street Crime Gang Unit arrested a male subject in regards to an ongoing drug investigation in Peel Region.
A search warrant was subsequently executed at a residence on Madison Street in Brampton. Inside this residence, officers located two (2) firearms, a .40 calibre Taurus semi-automatic pistol and a .32 calibre Iver Johnson revolver. As well, many rounds of ammunition for both guns, six (6) ounces of heroin, just over a half ounce of marihuana, and cash believed to be proceeds of crime, were also seized from the home.
The accused, Harpreet RANDHAVA, a 33 year-old male resident of Brampton is charged with numerous firearm and drug related offences. He will also be facing additional charges due to his life time firearm prohibition ban for previous offences. His common-law spouse, Robyn FAIRLEY, 28 years is also charged with firearm and drug offences.
RANDHAVA and FAIRLEY have been held in custody pending a Special Bail Hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. They are expected to make their first court appearance tomorrow morning.
