Pedestrian Struck in Fail to Remain Accident in Brampton, Appeal for Witnesses

 Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was struck, and the vehicle fled the scene.

On December 1, 2012, at approximately 12:50 a.m. the victim, a 65 year-old Brampton man, was crossing the street at Queen Street East and Centre Street, in Brampton.  As he did so, the victim was struck by a westbound vehicle that did not stop to render assistance, and fled the scene.

Police are seeking witnesses to the accident along with anyone with information about the suspect vehicle.  The vehicle is described as possibly an older model, compact vehicle.  The vehicle may have damage as a result of the accident.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in serious condition.
