Peel Police Investigators Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Assault Suspect

Brampton – Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for assaulting a Mississauga Transit driver.

On Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 8:20 p.m. the victim, a Mississauga Transit bus driver, was present at Sheridan College on McLaughlin Road, Brampton. The suspect boarded the bus and became involved in a verbal altercation with the driver

The suspect grabbed the victim by the throat and threatened the victim. He then exited the bus and fled in a vehicle, described as a 4-door silver Audi, with no front license plate attached. The vehicle then made it’s way towards Kingknoll Drive.

The suspect is described as male black, 5’10” – 6’ tall, with a medium build, wearing a toque, fleece jacket, hooded sweater, with jeans and boots.

Investigators from 22 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have information about this matter, to call them at (905) 453-2121, ext. 2233. Information leading to the identification of any of the suspects may qualify for a cash reward.
