Three men have been charged with stunt driving in three separate incidents on Toronto streets, at speeds as high as 188 km/h, Toronto police say.

On Monday at 2:05 a.m., police spotted a car travelling westbound on the Gardiner Expressway at Islington Avenue at 88 km/h over the 100 km/h limit.

A Toronto man, 37, was charged with stunt driving and speeding, police said. His licence has been suspended for seven days for stunt driving and his 2003 Audi A4 has also been impounded for a week.

On Sunday, at 4:30 a.m., Toronto police spotted a sedan driving northbound on the Don Valley Parkway at Wynford Drive, at speeds of 144 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.

A 22-year-old Pickering, Ont., man has been charged with stunt driving, speeding, as well as driving while under suspension and refusing to provide a breath sample.

The male driver’s licence has been suspended for a week for the stunt driving charge, and 90 days for the charge of refusing to provide a breath sample. In addition, his 2013 Kia Forte has been impounded for seven days.

Also on Sunday morning, police say they saw a vehicle heading westbound on Lake Shore Boulevard West, near Coronation Park Trail, travelling 113 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

A Toronto man, 25, faces charges including stunt driving and impaired operation of a motor vehicle. His licence has been suspended for a week for stunt driving, and 90 days for impaired operation of a vehicle. His car, a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta, has also been impounded for a week.

So far in 2013, Toronto police say they have already issued 38 suspensions for speeding or stunt driving.
