Brampton – Members of The Peel Regional Police Street Crime Gang Unit conducted two search warrants this week in Brampton, both resulting in the seizure of illegal firearms.
On February 12th, a 17 year-old Brampton resident was charged after a sawed-off double barreled shotgun was recovered inside his home. The 17 year-old young offender, who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, will appear for a Special Bail Hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
On February 14th, 18 year-old Jahrell LUNGS of Brampton was charged with numerous firearms offences and breaching a recognizance, after a loaded .357 handgun was found at a second Brampton address. LUNGS will appear for a Special Bail Hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
The two matters are unrelated, and police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding both events.
