Brampton – A 19 year old Brampton resident, wanted by the Street Crime Gang Unit has been arrested.

On March 1, 2012, members of the Street Crime Gang Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Knightsbridge Road, in the City of Brampton. Police located a .45 caliber semi-automatic firearm. Investigators had issued a warrant for Paul WEEDEN in relation to the firearm seized.

Paul WEEDEN, with his lawyer, turned himself in to 22 Division on March 20, 2012 at approximately 9:30 a.m. He has been charged with the following offences:

Unauthorized Possession of Firearm – Sec. 91(1) CC

Careless Use, Storage of Firearm – Sec. 86(1) CC

Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose – Sec. 88 CC

Possession of Firearm Knowing it is Unauthorized – Sec. 92 CC

Possession of Weapon Obtained by Commission of Offence – Sec. 96 CC

Breach of Recognizance x 2 – Sec. 145(3) CC

WEEDEN is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton later today for a Bail Hearing.
